Rogues Rugby Football Club

The Rogues Rugby Club is a member of the Vancouver Rugby Football Union, which is a sub-union of the British Columbia Rugby Union. British Columbia is considered a hotspot for rugby in Canada, as its mild weather allows the sport to be played year round.

The Rogues have become a haven for many players from around the world. And while maintaining the competitive spirit of rugby we also strive to develop the game. Players of all experience levels are encouraged to pick up their boots and to join our practice sessions. We all share a passion for rugby and encourage new members to participate on and off the field.

Our women's rugby program has been very successful. We encourage players who have a competitive edge and a willingness to learn the great game, to join our friendly and very social team. Women's rugby is a rapidly growing sport in North America, and we take pride in being part of the development of the game.

Our practice field is located at Braemar Park, close to downtown Vancouver. See the Directions page for more details.

The Rogues Women tear up the field at Sunfest

Congratulations to the Rogues Women for representing Vancouver at Penticton's annual Sunfest 15's tournament. Despite several injuries and scorching heat, they played hard and were awarded second place! With several new players having played their FIRST games this weekend, this is an astounding accomplishment. This tournament was the perfect example of the true talent and outstanding heart the Rogues women have.

Rogues RFC III vs Scribes RFC III

The game was touted as the must-see event of the fall schedule and it didn’t disappoint. Whilst a number of changes were made at the last minute, every player adapted seamlessly.

The game started at pace with both teams trading possession as the ball was turned-over time-and-time again. Ivan Chiu, Rich Conaway and Cormac Sheridan’s synergy in the line, ensured Rogues dominance at the line-out with the majority of balls being secured and shipped to the backs via scrum-half, Stefan Sabo-Walsh, who had another solid game in this demanding position, which he’s making his own!

I remember watching a TV documentary on the New Zealand All Blacks. All the players talked about pride in the jersey and how once they put the jersey on it meant they brought their A game and nothing less. This same pride was shown last Saturday by all who donned the blue jersey. Passion and pride was demonstrated in all 80 minutes by every player on the field.
